Our Story

Our story started in 1996 where a builder from South London settled in Redhill with a clear vision. The idea was to start a construction company and focus on local, small refurbishments which could be complete with a limited team. This vision has been nurtured and built for almost 30 years and today has an enduring portfolio of all different works from extensions to full scale property development. Take a deeper look into Our Journey.

The Beginning

AHaylock & Son was founded in 1996 by Antony Haylock, He set on a mission to not only build homes, but long lasting connections with clients and the community. He understood from the very beginning, help others succeed, and success will find you too.

Our Journey

2005

Almost 10 years in operation Anthony undertook his biggest extension yet on Blanford Rd for clients J & L and continued with three other projects on the same road, all from recommendations. 20 years later he did a complete renovation and triple story extension on a detached house in Reigate for J & L once again.

2015

At this stage Anthony started to expand, he grew his team of craftsmen giving him more opportunities when it came to jobs. With more men he was able to take on projects double the size and from there work was flowing.

2020

Covid effected a lot of small local owned businesses, everyone was unsure of the future. Luckily Anthony was able to stay afloat and fight to keep him company alive. Eventually when rules and regulations were lifted he was able to start projects again, the company was back in full swing.

2025

In 2025, the building industry is more competitive than ever. With rising material costs and increasing pressure on smaller companies, it’s a challenging time to stay ahead. But we thrive on challenge. We remain hungry for work and fully committed to delivering quality craftsmanship and genuine customer satisfaction on every job. The landscape may be tough—but there has never been more opportunity than right now.
